- LC-MS/MS specificity with minimal cross-reactivity
- Simple sample preparation without SPE
- Reduced hands-on time and easy automation
- Suitable for high-throughput laboratory workflows
- 13C internal standard for optimal correction matrix effects
The Testosterone LC-MS/MS Kit (RUO) is designed for laboratories seeking a reliable and cost-efficient method to quantify testosterone using liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry. Unlike broad steroid panels, this dedicated assay focuses solely on testosterone, eliminating unnecessary reagent costs while maintaining the analytical performance expected from LC-MS/MS.
The kit uses a straightforward sample preparation protocol without solid-phase extraction (SPE), reducing hands-on time and simplifying laboratory workflows. The streamlined preparation makes the method well suited for automation and routine high-throughput environments.
By using LC-MS/MS detection, the assay provides superior analytical specificity compared to traditional immunoassays. Cross-reactivity with structurally related steroids is minimised, resulting in more accurate testosterone measurements across a wide concentration range. This is particularly relevant in samples where immunoassays may show reduced reliability. For this type of samples, confirmatory analysis is performed using LC-MS/MS.
You now have the option to bypass the immunoassay and perform direct LC-MS/MS analyses. By using a ¹³C-labelled internal standard, optimal matrix correction is also achieved.
The kit enables laboratories to implement high-quality testosterone analysis with minimal complexity, combining robust LC-MS/MS performance with an efficient and practical workflow.
